Senior Solution Engineer - UK Market (m/f) - London, UK

The world of search is moving to mobile. Especially so for consumers who are searching for something they want to buy now. People don’t just want to know what’s available – they want to know what’s available close to where they are. 

For businesses that means that having a single corporate website is far from good enough. They need to have individual listings for the locations of their stores, branches, outlets, and agents, with accurate information about what they offer, how they are rated by customers, and how customers can find them.

And they need to have the information available, and consistent, on every search engine, social media platform, digital map, and directory, that a potential customer may look at. 

Uberall helps companies like Saint-Gobain, Volvo, Lufthansa, myToys and hundreds more, to be visible to potential consumers across more than 50 search engines (Google, Bing…), digital maps (Google Maps, Apple Maps, in-car Navigation Systems…), social media platforms (Facebook, Foursquare…), and directories (Yell, Yelp…). In total we handle 1 million individual locations across more than 100 different platforms. We are working with increasing numbers of large companies to help them understand the importance of location marketing, and what it could mean for their digital strategy.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Solution Engineers take the lead in working with prospective customers to demonstrate the Uberall solutions, and build a business case to support investment in them.
  • Working with Account Directors who lead the sales process, Solution Engineers form relationships with the digital marketing leaders and IT teams of the prospect.
  • After initially helping the customer understand the Uberall proposition and products, they work collaboratively with the customer to identify the specific benefits that Uberall will bring to their business, by understanding the metrics of the existing digital marketing campaigns, and how these can be improved using Uberall solutions.
  • Solution Engineers also represent the Uberall brand and solutions at marketing events and seminar, speaking about location marketing and Uberall’s proposition on stage, on a stand, or with interested individuals who attend.
  • Where relevant, Solution Engineers also work with Uberall partners who resell the solutions, to help educate them on how best to position, demonstrate, and talk about Uberall solutions.
  • Internally, Solution Engineers work with Customer Success to feedback what prospects and customers are saying about our solutions to the Product Management team, to ensure that Uberall solutions develop the capabilities that are required in the market.
  • Solution Engineer’s also work with the Sales & Marketing leadership to develop relevant campaigns to position the Uberall solutions in the market, and to generate leads for Sales teams to follow up.
  • Solution Engineers work with the Sales Operations team to craft responses to the Solution sections of RFI’s and RFP’s when required.

  

Your profile:

  • You are a graduate, ideally with a degree in a business, marketing, or technical discipline. An MBA or post-graduate degree in a relevant subject is preferred.
  • You have a strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, and SEM, developed via roles working on developing digital strategies for a brand in-house, or at an agency, or whilst working as a supplier of other digital marketing technologies. You should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in one or more of these types of organisation.
  • You are comfortable presenting to C-Level audiences, as an expert on your topic, and engaging in debate about the merits of different digital marketing strategies.
  • Due to your business model knowledge you can guide the customers’ business strategy, and digital marketing initiatives, in order to help the customer build a business case justifying their investment in Uberall solutions.
  • You have excellent presentation and communication skills, and are confident and passionate when explaining concepts and ideas to customers.
  • You are a team player who positively enjoys succeeding in a team environment.
  • You are self-motivated and able to work autonomously to find solutions to complex problems.
  • Whilst not needing to be a technical expert, you have a solid understanding of technology and how SaaS solutions like Uberall’s are designed, delivered and supported. (relevant technical education will be provided where required).
  • You have experience of a sales environment, ideally in a software company, but experience of working to sell to clients in an agency or equivalent environment is acceptable.
  • Previous experience of working as a Solution Engineer / Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Consultant for a software company is an advantage, but not a requirement.
