Data Quality Analyst (m/f/d) - Amsterdam, NL

The world of search is moving to mobile. Especially so for consumers who are searching for something they want to buy now. People don’t just want to know what’s available – they want to know what’s available close to where they are.

For businesses that means that having a single corporate website is far from good enough. They need to have individual listings for the locations of their stores, branches, outlets, and agents, with accurate information about what they offer, how they are rated by customers, and how customers can find them.

And they need to have the information available, and consistent, on every search engine, social media platform, digital map, and directory, that a potential customer may look at.

Uberall helps companies like Saint-Gobain, Volvo, Lufthansa, myToys, and hundreds more, to be visible to potential consumers across more than 50 search engines (Google, Bing…), digital maps (Google Maps, Apple Maps, in-car Navigation Systems…), social media platforms (Facebook, Foursquare…), and directories (Yell, Yelp…). In total we handle 1 million individual locations across more than 100 different platforms. We are working with increasing numbers of large companies to help them understand the importance of location marketing, and what it could mean for their digital strategy.

For our highly motivated and committed data quality team, we are looking for you in a permanent employment as a Data Quality Analyst (m/f/d). In this position you are responsible for ensuring that all of our processes will lead to a higher quality of the listings as well as customer and directory satisfaction beyond expectations.

 

Your responsibilites:

  • You evaluate and analyse spatial data to identify patterns of low quality in order to improve our data
  • You work closely with our Product Team to develop, test and implement algorithmic improvements to our location data content and our platform itself
  • You are always looking for solutions by undertaking problem and root cause analysis. You ensure that any issues are addressed at the right source and you cooperate with the relevant stakeholders to drive necessary actions
  • You focus on data quality, best practices and providing insights about map requirements for the product and management teams
  • You drive the implementation of new data quality strategies from scratch (Inform – Influence – Develop – Implement – Execute – Evaluate)
  • You do not stop after processes are implemented – You always strive to enhance and improve those to the highest level
  • You are an expert in reporting the results of your actions and the related improvements to customers, partners and internal stakeholders

 

Your profile:

  • You show at least a minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience in the maps industry or a field very close related to Geo-Location-Services (GLS)
  • You ideally hold a Bachelor’s degree related to business intelligence, analytics, data science or even geography
  • You are experienced in managing large data sets and show highly evolved analytical skills combined with a deep understanding of maps and map user experience
  • You are a self-starter with a proactive attitude and have the ability to prioritize tasks when dealing with a high workload
  • Your mindset it service-driven with a strong focus on process excellence, details and data quality
  • Your show excellent communication skills and you are a strong relationship builder in an international environment
  • You are comfortable to work primarily in English with our teams in Berlin, Amsterdam and Armenia
